Professional Info
I worked in a 24 hour lab testing environmental samples which led me to work overseas on two deployments in West Africa to help with the Ebola effort. That experience served as a launch pad for my career in public health as I was moved to a similar project. The new contract was an extension of the efforts made overseas, as the main objective is to teach scientists and laboratorians the importance of an integrated laboratory framework. They will see the value in being better prepared to help themselves and their country with the proper training and know how of specific procedures to follow if another outbreak were to occur. This is a two year project where I hope to gain as much experience teaching public health topics as well as diagnostic training. In addition to obtaining my MPH degree soon I will have the experience and education that can lead me to other opportunities.
